I've thought this was neat for some time now and it seems to be advancing considerably. I look forward to seeing this implemented in educational settings, but there's obviously no tactile response so I think it's a bit difficult…
Check out Chris Dede's work. They got a grant from Institute of Educational Sciences to try augmented reality in the schools. I recently had a chance to talk to him about it. It is really cool!
